Our Festival Venue
The Pleasance, 60 Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9TJ
Better known as a Fringe venue, the Pleasance is part of the University of Edinburgh and run by Edinburgh University Student Association (EUSA).
CYMERA will be taking over the whole space for the festival!
A Note to Those Travelling by Car
From 1st June 2024, Edinburgh Council is enforcing the LEZ - Low Emission Zone. While our venue is outside the LEZ, your travel may take you through it, so please read the below.
What is a Low Emission Zone (LEZ)?
A Low Emission Zone (LEZ) is an area where access by vehicles that emit high levels of pollutants is restricted or discouraged. These zones are typically implemented in urban areas to improve air quality and public health.
Checking Vehicle Eligibility: To find out if your vehicle is eligible to enter the Low Emission Zone surrounding The Pleasance, please visit the official website of Low Emission Zones Scotland: Low Emission Zone Vehicle Registration Checker

Will there be food & drink?
The Cafe & Bar will be open throughout the festival. You can also bring your own provisions.
Access
Following a 2-year renovation project, the venue is now fully wheelchair accessible.

How to get there
The Pleasance is a fifteen minute walk or a short taxi ride from Edinburgh’s Waverley Station.
There is no bus stop right outside it, but plenty nearby. Lothian Buses and Borders buses stop at Surgeon’s Hall on Nicolson Street, and Lothian Bus number 14 will take you to Richmond Place.
Parking
There is no public parking within the Pleasance Courtyard. The car parking spaces belong to the University of Edinburgh, and any cars parked in the courtyard are University of Edinburgh permit holders.
Blue Badge Holders are able to park on the road just outside.
For long term parking within walking distance, we recommend Nicolson Square Car Park or St Leonards Car Park (Hermits Croft, Edinburgh EH8 9SW).
Please note that there is no longer free parking in Edinburgh City Centre on a Sunday.
Cymera would like to thank all the staff at EUSA and the Pleasance, especially Isa, Peter and Richard, for their help and support.
